Elton Kids {Boise, ID Children’s Portrait Photography}

Anneliese {Boise, ID Children’s Portrait Photography}

Sticking her tongue out, and her adorable smile with her baby teeth showing.  Love it!

In the image in the left she is saying “no, no”.  It was just too cute!  I wish my camera had video otherwise I would have totally switched to video for a moment.

The image on the far right I could just image her thinking “Who? Me?”.

Family Portraits {What to Wear}

Just to give you some ideas.

First you will pick a color scheme that you like. Above are just a few fun colors to get the ideas rolling. Next pick outfits that are mostly solid colors, but yet have some texture to them like in the little girls dress. Plaid is sometimes okay if it matches your colors scheme but try to avoid having a busy child wear it. Often times I have had to swap heads in pictures and it makes it a lot easier when they (including a parent that might be holding them) has a solid color shirt on. Also avoid putting dad or the boys in a plain t-shirt. Rather have them wear a polo shirt or button up shirt.

Accessories on girls add a lot of interest to the image. Also if you have trouble finding shoes that match your outfit don’t worry too much. Sometimes it is a fun look to have bare feet.

Hope this is helpful! Have fun shopping!

Why choose Timeline Portraits? Photomerge

Watch the image closely for about 5 seconds.

For moms that know that your kids rarely all look at the camera at the same time….

For the moms that know…. Your kids rarely are all looking at the camera and smiling at the same time. I wanted to be able give mom and nice image she would be able to gladly hang on her wall of all three of her girls together in one image. As I kept shooting while at the session I knew I’d probably at least have to merge in one face. They weren’t fussy at all, just typical children that only focus for a few moments and then look the other direction or blinking their eyes while the others are not. After looking at all of the images on my computer during post process I decided to combine three images. Thankfully during my schooling I needed so many graphics classes in order to earn my degree. In one of those classes (and lots of practice) I learned the techniques in order to be able to create this image.

R. Girls {Boise, ID – Children Portraits Photographer}

These girls are just darling. I LOVE their fun little personalities! So many of these are now my new favorite images.
Her eyes in this one of her are just mesmerizing.

Their expressions in these bubble images are priceless. I’m sure years from now they will look back on these and just laugh.

I’ve had the lens that I took these with for some time but just because it is a fixed lens I have not pulled it out enough before. I regret that but I don’t think I will ever leave in the camera bag again. I just love the look of these too much.
I also love some new post processing tricks that I used on these to make the images just pop and grab some attention.

High School Senior Portraits {What to Wear}

I will be adding more images later but here is a starter. Don’t be afraid to wear some bold colors. They add a lot of fun contrast to the images.

If you are involved in music, sports, or a club let me know and we can discuss some ideas as to how to incorporate them into session.

Girls
Mostly wear solid colored shirts, but with texture like in the image shown. This helps keep the focus on you not your clothing. Although if you have a fun patterned shirt that you LOVE bring it. We may get it in a shot or two. For the most part I advise that you leave your screen printed shirts at home.

Accessories are a lot of fun for images also. Bring waist belt, hair flowers, jean jackets, necklaces, bracelets, etc. If you own a fun pair of high heels bring them.

Make-up: If you don’t usually wear make-up, it is advised that you wear just a little bit of blush, eye shadow, and mascara. If you have dry lips like me .. especially don’t forget the Chapstick.

Hair: Curls always make for fun pictures, but don’t try a new do on the day of your session. Especially don’t get a haircut or color right before your session. It is likely that you won’t like your hair and therefor you won’t like your pictures. I want you love your images.

Guys
Polo Shirts look the best for your portrait session. Avoid wearing t-shirts with screen printing it detracts from the real subject in the images “YOU”.

Most of all be yourself and wear items that reflect you and your personality.
